My story
How I got
into piano tuning.
I moved to London in 2015 to study Music Performance and Production, specialising in piano, and graduated with First Class Honours. I became increasingly interested in how the instrument works and how its sound can be shaped. That interest led me into piano tuning.
I started my career at Jaques Samuel Pianos, where I learned from experienced concert technicians. Working alongside them helped me develop my skills and taught me a great deal about the instrument. I’m now a full member of the Pianoforte Tuners’ Association (MPTA).
Today, I work with people in their homes as well as artists, orchestras and production teams. I regularly prepare pianos at Wigmore Hall, the Royal Albert Hall and Southbank Centre.
Whether I’m in a concert hall, a recording studio or someone’s home, I put the same effort into the piano in front of me. Every instrument has its own sound, and getting the best out of it is the part of the job I enjoy most.
